Electricidade de Mocambique, E.P. EDM is a power company in Mozambique. The company is responsible for generation, transmission and distribution of electricity in the country. The company generates electricity from its own resources as well as purchases electricity from Hidroelectrica de Cahora Bassa HCB, a hydroelectric power plant in Mozambique, and neighboring countries. EDM is engaged in energy trading and is the member of the Southern African Power Pool SAPP. The company supplies power to more than 415,000 customers in the country.
