East River Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. East River Electric is a wholesale electric power supply cooperative located at Madison in South Dakota, the US. The cooperative is principally engaged in offering electric distributional services to its consumers. Its distributional activities cover around 36,000 square miles of service area with 230 power supply substations and 203 distribution substations. The cooperative has around 2,700 miles of transmission lines and 23 wheeling consumers. In addition to electricity supply, the other services offered by East River Electric include rural electric economic development, cooperative services alliances and load management services.
