Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern at Kabab Cafe, Astoria, Queens

On the New York City edition of “No Reservations,” Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern visit Ali El Sayed’s famous Kabab Cafe on Steinway Street in Astoria, Queens, for a meal of sweetbreads, a puff at the hookah, and some chat about food and world politics. Ali upstages both of them and demonstrates why he’s known as the “Mayor of Astoria.”

@sterling729 yeah i would have to read more about him. .
I was just saying in my opinion. . because what i see on TV. . you know?. . I said i really don’t know him personally or do i know more about him. . just some of his episodes he really comes off as pretentious. .
well that’s just me. . don’t get me wrong i love his show. . it’s really entertaining. .

Why. . (i’m just expressing my opinion). . is Anthony (especially on the UK episode). . does he seem pedantic and grandiloquent?. . . he just comes off like that. . . . a good chef and good TV personality. . but he just gives off a pompous or pretentious attitude. . . well that’s just me. . . i only see what’s showed to me on the TV . . so i really don’t know him personally. . .

The chef clearly mentions Hibiscus tea its a red flower which u dry first then boil to gain a red berry flavored liquid . used in the middle east as a warm beverage and in Europe to flavor schnapps^^
